Around 80,000 years ago, humans rarely had access to the sweetness of fruits. When they first experienced the taste of ripe fruit, a strong connection between sweetness and energy was formed. This evolutionary process led to sweetness becoming an instinctive human preference that continues to this day.

工業化讓糖變得唾手可得,也帶來過量攝取的健康問題。政府推動糖稅,學校停止販售含糖飲品,專家倡導「減糖」生活。但過度避免糖分,反而可能導致高熱量攝取(如用脂肪代替糖分),甚至拒絕富含天然好糖的健康食物(如水果)。因此,懂得正確選擇糖分的來源,比一味戒糖更為重要。
Industrialization made sugar easily accessible, but it also introduced health challenges associated with overconsumption. Governments began imposing sugar taxes, schools stopped selling sugary drinks, and experts promoted a “reduced sugar” lifestyle. However, excessive avoidance of sugar can sometimes backfire, leading to higher calorie intake (such as replacing sugar with fats) and rejecting healthy foods rich in natural sugars (like fruits). Therefore, understanding how to properly source and consume sugar is far more important than eliminating it completely.

在康普茶的釀造過程中,糖是不可或缺的養分來源。Zestea使用來自巴西的有機原蔗糖,富含礦物質與維生素,並在初期釀造時添加。隨著發酵進行,約90%的糖分會被菌種消耗。最終,每100毫升Zestea原味康普茶只含約4克糖,相較之下,鮮榨橙汁含糖約8克,碳酸汽水則達10.5克。
In the kombucha brewing process, sugar is an essential nutrient for the fermentation culture. Zestea uses organic raw cane sugar sourced from Brazil, rich in minerals and vitamins, added during the initial stages of fermentation. As fermentation progresses, approximately 90% of the sugar is consumed by the culture. In the end, each 100ml of Zestea Original Kombucha contains only about 4 grams of sugar — by comparison, the same amount of freshly squeezed orange juice contains around 8 grams, and carbonated sodas about 10.5 grams.
